Watermelon Juice (தர்பூசணிச் சாறு)

Fresh fruits are rich in anti-oxidants and hence, it is important to incorporate them in your diet. You can either eat raw fruits or have them in the form of fresh juice or milk shakes. Watermelon is rich in Vitamin C and it is an excellent cooler, especially during summer months. 


Watermelon pieces – 2 teacups or 400 ml measure
Sugar – 2 teaspoons
Honey – 1 teaspoon
Lemon juice – ¼ teaspoon

Watermelon Juice (தர்பூசணிச் சாறு)
Method: Cut watermelon into quarters and remove the seeds. Scoop out the red fleshy portion and cut into cubes. Blend 2 teacups of watermelon pieces with sugar very well in a liquidiser. Add honey and lemon juice, and mix well. Serve chilled.

Note: Watermelon juice can also be prepared simply by bending watermelon pieces with required sugar.
